1 Sam 1: 4-20
1 Sam 2: 1-10 or Ps 113 (UMH 834)
Heb 10: 11-14 (15-18) 19-25
Mark 13:1-8
Opening Prayer: God our redeemer, in sustaining the lives of Naomi and Ruth, you gave new life to your people. We ask that from age to age, new generations may be born to restore life and nourish the weak, by returning to you those things we once thought ours. Amen
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen
Hear the good news: We have been forgiven and we are always loved.
